Germany Cup. Germany - Russian Olympic team - 4:3

In the first match of the Germany Cup, the Russian Olympic team came up short against the host nation, conceding a narrow 3:4 defeat.

Maxim Groshev, Maxim Tsyplakov and Maxim Sorkin all hit the target for our team, while goaltender Alexander Samonov stopped 24 of the 28 German shots he faced.

Russia will next be in action at the tournament on Saturday against Slovakia. Puck-drop is scheduled for 20:00 Moscow time.
