RIHF Disciplinary Committee ruling following a recent incident involving referees

The Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) has issued its ruling concerning the incident involving referees following an All-Russian Hockey League (VHL) match between Norilsk and Omskie Krylya on 21 February 2026.
Following its review, the RIHF Disciplinary Committee has ruled that:
- Miroslav Skugarev is banned from any ice hockey activity for life;
- Ivan Shmakov and Ilnur Khazhiev are banned from refereeing ice hockey for three years.
