Conference delegates listened to Vladislav Tretiak's concerning the RIHF's work across the preceding four-year cycle. The RIHF's President reported on the implementation of key objectives set from 2022 to 2026, and outlined key achievements in various areas of the development of Russian ice hockey.
Arkady Rotenberg, Chairman of the RIHF Board:
"The RIHF's key areas of activity for the development of Russian ice hockey were announced in 2022. Over the past four years, these plans and objectives have been almost fully implemented. Working for the future, creating the conditions for qualitative progress and systematic advancement remain the RIHF's unwavering priorities. Extensive efforts are being made in all areas such as establishing national teams, improving infrastructure, educating coaches and developing our youth.
"The suspension of Russian national teams from international tournaments creates objective problems for our ice hockey. However, we hope that in the near future we will again be able to compete at World Championships and all international competitions with our own flag and national anthem. The situation is moving in that direction. The Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Sport, which is engaging in intense efforts with regard to this issue, are greatly assisting us.
"We look forward to the future with optimism and are not resting on our laurels. The Russian Ice Hockey Federation will continue its systematic and planned work, laying the foundations for future triumphs."

Vladislav Tretiak, President of the RIHF:
"Arkady Rotenberg today nominated me for the post of the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation. This is a great honour for me! The board members voted unanimously, and I will do everything in my power to justify their faith. Ice hockey is my life, therefore I have plenty of energy and desire to work hard for the benefit of the sport in our country. Ice hockey serves as a form of national pride, which consequently means that our success allows for us to unite everyone. Vladimir Putin has emphasised the fact that our nation requires victories which unite Russian citizens.
"We've made significant progress in improving the quality of domestic ice hockey across the previous four years. We are continuing to make progress in all areas, and our goals are being implemented step-by-step and systematically. We have a lot to be proud of! Of course, I would like to thank our entire ice hockey family. Your enthusiasm, openness to cooperation and willingness to work as a team in the interests of the Russian ice hockey enable us to achieve great things and implement major projects. Regional federations and clubs, children's schools and leagues, coaches and sports administrators all contribute to the our development. We're proud of the great history of our sport, and are creating the required conditions for progress and future major victories. We will continue to work together, implementing the Russian ice hockey development program from 2026 to 2030."

Mikhail Degtyaryov, Minister of Sport of the Russian Federation and Chairman of the Russian Olympic Committee:
"Together with a Hero of Labour of the Russian Federation and honoured Russian coach Arkady Rotenberg, and the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation Vladislav Tretiak, we opened the RIHF's reporting and election conference at the headquarters of the Russian Olympic Committee. Gathered in the hall were representatives of the entire ice hockey community, all those who make a significant contribution to the development of this wonderful sport. It has been a huge honour for me to serve as a member of the RIHF board for 10 years already.
"As Russian President Vladimir Putin notes, our country is deservedly among the leading hockey nations. We have given the world countless legendary players and coaches, and their unforgettable victories have become an integral part of Russia's sporting glory.
"Today there are 850 indoor ice rinks in Russia, while over 600,000 of our citizens regularly engage in ice hockey and over 90,000 receive professional coaching. The credit for this goes to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, its leadership and all regional federations. The Ministry of Sport and the Russian Olympic Committee will provide all necessary support, and we will work together internationally to ensure the full return of Russian ice hockey players to rinks around the world, including through the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne."
