Belarus U20 far too strong for SHL outfit

The under 20 Belarusian national team made a statement of their intentions in their opening game of the Future Cup, thrashing a side representing the Student Hockey League (SHL) by a score of 7:0.

In charge throughout, Belarus immediately took control of the match, scoring twice within the maiden eight minutes to quash any hope the SHL had of springing a surprise.

The Belarusians did indeed register a minimum of two markers in each of the three periods.

A 3-on-3 tournament is scheduled to be staged tomorrow, before the regular competition subsequently resumes on Saturday.
