Russia U20 start Future Cup with emphatic win!

The 2026 Future Cup got underway in Novosibirsk this afternoon, with a match between our two junior national teams ending in a crushing 6:0 triumph for the U20s.

Our U18s did initially keep the game tight until midway through the second stanza, but their elder opponents subsequently took a firm grip of proceedings to run out comfortable winners.

Mikhail Melikov had initially drawn first blood in the eighth minute of play.

The floodgates really did open after the 30th minute as Dmitry Isayev, Maxim Moiseyev, Melikov again and Nikita Kharionov all hit the target.

A 3-on-3 competition is scheduled to take place tomorrow, before the regular tournament resumes on Saturday.
