By order of the Russian Ministry of Sport, Anna Prugova, one of the country's most decorated ice hockey players, has been made an honoured Master of Sport!
Vladislav Tretiak, the President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, presented Anna with a commemorative badge and document recognising her outstanding contribution to the development of Russian hockey.
Prugova is the youngest Olympic participant in the history of the Russian national team: in 2010, she played in Vancouver at the age of 16 years and 86 days. Her illustrious career as a goalkeeper subsequently earned her two bronze medals at the World Championships (2013 and 2016), as well as ten Russian Championship titles. In 2025, she retired from the Women's Hockey League as the record holder for the most shutouts and the most games played by a goaltender.
