The RIHF will sign an agreement with the Georgian Ice Hockey Federation
11.03.2021
A working meeting between the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) and the Georgian Ice Hockey Federation has taken place.
It was attended by Executive Director of the RIHF Dmitry Kurbatov, Advisor to the First Vice-President of the RIHF Vladimir Shalaev, Head of the Development and Implementation Department of the Red Machine National Development Program Pavel Sheruimov and Deputy Executive Director of the RIHF Alexander Kiknadze. Roland Svanidze and Gocha Dzheyranashvili, the two vice-presidents of the Georgian Ice Hockey Federation, also participated in the event.
At the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the hockey federations of the two countries, primarily the prospects for the introduction of innovative developments and methods of the Red Machine National Development Program in the process of training Georgian players.
The traditional international practice of ice hockey has developed in such a way that stronger federations help others develop and improve. One of the most valuable aspects of assistance which the RIHF can offer is the Red Machine National Development Program, which combines the most modern and innovative methods and contains all aspects of the correct training of athletes at youth level.
During the meeting, the leaders of the RIHF stressed that the aspects of cooperation with the Georgian federation can indeed be versatile. For example, Russia is ready to help partners with the organisation of training camps for players by sending specialists across to assist the process, while also constantly exchanging experiences. The parties agreed to develop and sign an agreement concerning the implementation of the Red Machine National Development Program. Such agreements have already been concluded with a number of foreign ice hockey federations.
The leaders of the RIHF presented the guests not only with memorable gifts, but also with a complete selection of methodological manuals of the Red Machine National Development Program - more than 10 printed publications, which cover all aspects of training children.
