A training camp organised by the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) and Nornickel took place in Norilsk.
Players born in either 2012 or 2013 from the sports schools located in Norilsk, Dudinka, Talnakh and Kayerkan honed their skills across three days under the guidance of RIHF specialists.
The training sessions on the ice at the Arktika Sports Palace utilised the methods of the Red Machine National Development Program, which contains a unique set of effective, innovative methods. Norickel is the program's official partner with regard to its development and introduction.
This was the 10th year in which this camp was held. Training sessions were held on and off the ice, with the players mastering their key skills and learning about the secrets of personal development. Players were also taught about methods of physical and psychological self-preparation.

The camp concluded with a festival and friendly matches, with HC Norilsk players Nikita Mokin and Dmitry Korchemkin partcicipating in the events alongside legendary female Russian goalkeeper Anna Prugova.
RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak:
"The methods of the Red Machine National Development Program allow us to develop athletes without weaknesses or gaps in their tactical, technical and mental preparation. The program's implementation in the country's youth hockey system is a key factor of our progression. Of course I'm delighted that we have such a productive partnership with Nornickel. I would like to thank the company's president, Vladimir Potanin. His support and genuine interest make it possible to stage such events and continue to develop ice hockey in this region of the world.
"When players are aged 13 and 14, they're already beginning to prepare for the transition to professional ice hockey and the international stage. At this age, both specialised technical and mental preparation become paramount. Players must constantly work on improving their skills, prepare for important matches accordingly and perform at their best when needed. All of this can be taught. During the Red Machine's March training camp, young hockey players learned specialised exercises and psychological training. They will be able to use this experience in their personal development."
