2021 World Junior Championship. Austria U20 - Russia U20

The junior Russian national team will face Austria in the third match of the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship in Edmonton, Canada.
In their first two games, Russia defeated the US 5:3 with Vasily Ponomaryov - twice - , Zakhar Bardakov, Ilya Safonov and Yegor Chinakhov all hitting the jackpot. However, in the second match, our players failed to score as they slipped to a 0:2 loss to the Czech Republic.
For their part, the Austrians remain the only team at the competition yet to score a single goal, as they suffered heavy 0:11 and 0:4 defeats to the USA and Sweden respectively.
"Having analysed all of our mistakes, we are fully prepared for this match," stated Russian forward Rodion Amirov. "It won't be easy against Austria, though, we have to be focused and play our game. We have a positive mindset."
Puck-drop is scheduled for 05:30 Moscow time. Channel One will provide a live television broadcast in Russia.
