22.09.2025
The partnership between the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) and the Sirius Educational Centre has already been in operation for 10 years, with the parties continuing to implement large-scale joint programs concerning sport and education for young ice hockey players, while integrating the latest training methods and initiatives.
The RIHF and the Sirius Educational Centre have reached an agreement to expand and deepen their partnership. The document was signed at the latter's headquarters by RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak and Chair of the Sirius Federal Territory Council and Director of the Talent and Success Educational Foundation Elena Shmelyova.
The agreement outlines new areas of collaboration with regard to the development of the nation's ice hockey reserves. A coaching school will be established at Sirius, and training and professional development for specialists will be conducted using methods developed by the RIHF. More extensive and diverse scientific research in sport is also planned, with the results being tested and integrated into athlete training.
Furthermore, an awards ceremony for teams which competed in the U15 Sirius Cup was staged, with Tretiak speaking to the players and participating in an autograph session with players who took to the ice during the tournament. Tretiak also presented Shmelyova with an honourary badge for her loyalty to ice hockey.
