Russia - Latvia. A statistical look

16.05.2017

Bogdan Kiselevich scored Russia's 800th World Championship. Since 1992, only Sweden (815) and Canada (882) have found the net more often. 158 of those Russian goals have come under Oleg Znarok's reign.

This is the first time when Russia have not conceded a World Championship goal for three games straight. The USSR national team did the same at the 1964 Olympic Games.

Ilya Sorokin has played 155 minutes and 40 seconds for Russia at World Championships, not conceding a single goal during that time. He has beaten Maxim Sokolov's record of 128 minutes and 47 seconds from 2001.

Latvia failed to score against Russia for the second consecutive World Championship.

Anton Belov already has 21 points (7+14) at World Championships.

In just 47 national team appearances, Artemiy Panarin has 52 points (24+28). 38 of them (14+24) have been earned in 25 World Championship fixtures.

Sergei Plotnikov now has 20 World Championship points (10+10).

Vadim Shipachyov has dished out 30 World Championship assists in 33 games.

All of Nikita Kucherov's 17 national team points (9+8) have come during this season.

From 22 matches, Nikita Gusev owns 20 Russian points (8+12).

Ivan Telegin's goal was his 10th in 32 national team matches.

Dmitry Orlov has taken part in ten World Championship games, earning four assists.
