I congratulate Vadim Shipachyov!
13.01.2026
On behalf of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and myself, I would like to congratulate Vadim Shipachyov with becoming the first player in history to tally 1,000 KHL points! This is a record which won't be broken for a very long time indeed. Without doubt, Vadim is one of the best centre forwards of our generation, boasting plenty of skill, intelligence and a superb understanding of the game. He always contributes with either goals or assists in the decisive moments.
An entire generation has grown up watching Shipachyov play! Moreover, we have to note just how Vadim is a wonderful example for young players growing up thanks to his patriotism and willingness to defend our flag at international competitions. Vadim is an Olympic champion, a world champion and a holder of several medals won at prestigious tournaments. He is also the fourth-highest scorer in the history of the Russian national team, notably making an assist in the triumphant final of the 2014 World Championship, scoring against the US in the semi-final of the 2015 edition of the tournament and subsequently tallying more points than anyone else at the same tournament in Moscow a year later. His contribution to the success of the Russian national team is immense!
Still a leading player for one of the KHL's strongest clubs, Vadim's remarkable career continues. I once again congratulate Vadim with his achievement, wishing him further success!
