The first stage of the Euro-Asian Friendship Cup will take place in Grodno

Together with the All-Russian Hockey League (VHL), the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation will stage the Euro-Asian Friendship Cup.
The competition will take place across two stages. The maiden stage will be held in Grodno, Belarus between the 16th and 19th of August, with Neman (Grodno, Belarus), Sokol (Krasnoyarsk, Russia), Nomad (Astana, Kazakhstan) and Khumo (Tashkent, Uzbekistan) participating in it.

The teams in first and second will qualify for the Final Four, which will take place on the 23rd and 24th of December in Zhlobin, Belarus. Khimik Voskresensk (Russia) and Metallurg-Zhlobin (Zhlobin, Belarus), the champions of the VHL and the Ekstraliga respectively, will join the tournament at this stage.
