1975 world champion Alexander Filippov has sadly passed away in the 76th year of his life.
At club level with Dynamo Moscow, Alexander twice won the USSR Cup and earned several medals of the domestic championship. Furthermore, he was also the first coach of three-time world champion Alexander Ovechkin, one of the world's best forwards.
