In the first match of the 2021 European Youth Olympic Festival, the under 17 Russian national team achieved a positive result, defeating the Czech Republic 4:2 with a confident performance.
Timur Mukhanov, Ilya Rogovsky, Ilya Kvochko - with a penalty shot - and Kirill Dolzhenkov all hit the jackpot, while solid goaltender Yegor Zavragin stopped 22 of the 24 Czech shots he faced.
