Slovakia - Russia. A statistical round-up

- This is the first time that Russia have won all Euro Hockey Challenge games of the season. The team scored 14 goals and conceded 3, which has become a new record.

- Igor Shestyorkin is only the second Russian goaltender in history to take a shutout on his debut. The first was Evgeny Nabokov on the 16th of February 2006 against the Swedes at the Olympic Games in Italy. Vadim Tarasov and Sergei Zvyagin also kept a clean sheet in their first full games, however they had already made cameo appearances beforehand.

- Yegor Yakovlev played in his 50th Russian national team match, Daniil Apalkov in his 15th, and Ziyat Paigin, Maxim Shalunov and Sergei Shumakov notched up their fifth game.

- Forward Vadim Shipachyov made his 35th Russian assist. Ilya Lyubushkin, Vyacheslav Voynov and Yaroslav Dyblenko did this for the first time.
