RIHF representatives participated a medical conference

The 17th International Symposium on Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation was held at the WTC Congress Centre in Moscow under the auspices of the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical Centre for Sport and Medical Sciences.

Representatives of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation participated in the event.

The symposium is always practice-oriented, with participants receiving the opportunity to participate in master classes and test new training equipment and methods.

Each year, the range of research discussed at the symposium expands. This year, the scientific program included seven sections and over 60 presentations: sports traumatology, cardiology, athletes' reproductive health, fitness medical support, sports nutrition, artificial intelligence and digital technologies in sports medicine, and training and metabolism management in sports.

For the first time, the symposium included a school on "Radiation Diagnostics in Sports Medicine," led by RAS Academicians Sergei Ternovoy and Natalia Serova.

Victoria Badtieva, Professor of the Department of Restorative Medicine, Rehabilitation and Balneology at Sechenov University, spoke about international experience and new technologies in biomedical support for sports.

The event concluded with a roundtable discussion, "Anti-Doping Literacy for Sports Medicine Specialists," organised by the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).

The symposium brought together renowned scientists, leading physicians from medical centers in Russia and Belarus, academicians of the Russian Academy of Sciences, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Health and the country's leading medical universities and renowned athletes. Over the two days, 1,789 people from 10 countries and 127 cities participated in the event, 712 of whom attended in person.
