Russia 25 win the 2025 Channel One Cup!

The Russian national team thrashed Kazakhstan 9:0 in the final match of the Channel One Cup to win the competition!
This is indeed the third consecutive year in which Russia have finished in first position of the tournament standings.
Our team came flying out of the blocks, scoring four goals within a four-minute period in the maiden frame as Ruslan Abrosimov, Yegor Surin - twice - and Prokhor Poltapov hit the jackpot.
Poltapov then added a second for himself midway through the second stanza, before Danil Aimurzin and Dmitry Silantyev subsequently added a pair of quickfire goals. Alexander Samoilov replaced Maxim Motorygin in the Russian net in the 37th minute, while the Kazakhs swapped Vladislav Pestov for Roman Kalmykov following our seventh marker.
The hosts rounded off a resounding triumph with two further goals from Nikita Lyamkin and Artyom Ilyenko in the concluding period.
As a consequence of this result, Russia claimed top spot with two wins from two, while Belarus are second and Kazakhstan bring up the rear in third.
