2025 Future Cup. Russia U20 - Kazakhstan U20 - 6:2

07.11.2025
While producing a strong attacking performance, our under 20 national team had no trouble in breezing past Kazakhstan at the 2025 Future Cup, earning a routine 6:2 victory.

Russia U20 do now possess two wins from two games at the competition.

Our players quickly took a firm grip of proceedings in the opening frame, moving three ahead with Alexander Plesovskhikh twice scoring with Alexander Zharovsky sandwiching his markers.

A large six-goal lead was subsequently gained in the early stages of the third period. To their credit, the Kazakhs refused to wave the white flag and managed to spoil Yaroslav Kuzmenko's shutout hopes with two late goals, but they made little difference to the outcome.

The 3-on-3 tournament will take place tomorrow, before Russia U20 face the Belarusians in the decisive match on Sunday.
