Roman Rotenberg, the First Vice President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, held a meeting with Novosibirsk Region Governor Andrei Travnikov.

The parties discussed the development of sport in the region.

Novosibirsk Region is one of the centres of Russian ice hockey, where modern facilities for sport and the coaching of young players are being created.

Special attention was paid to the upcoming Channel One Cup, which will be staged in Novosibirsk for the first time in history in December. The competition will form a large sporting event and a true celebration of ice hockey for Novosibirsk Region.

Furthermore, alongside matches involving the Russian national team, a tournament for children's teams, a master class for adaptive hockey players, a meeting with teams of the Night Hockey League and cultural events, including a visit to the Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, will take place.
