In accordance with the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, a friendly match was held between teams representing Saint Petersburg and the forum. Famous veterans, political figures and business representatives all took part, while the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's first vice president Roman Rotenberg and board member Gennady Timchenko also took to the ice. The forum won the match 8:3, with Gennady Timchenko scoring two, and Roman Rotenberg netted four goals and taking one assist.
