In Moscow, at the Ice Hockey Museum, the "Our Players!" exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Russian ice hockey has opened its doors.
The exhibits are paintings depicting legendary USSR ice hockey players who became Olympic and world champions. The likes of Vsevolod Bobrov, Anatoly Firsov, Vladislav Tretiak, Alexander Yakushev, Boris Mikhailov, Vladimir Petrov, Valeri Kharlamov, Alexander Maltsev, Igor Larionov and Vladimir Krutov are all featured in the gallery.

Alexander Yakushev, two-time Olympic champion, seven-time world champion:
- The 75th anniversary of ice hockey in Russia is a major event. This exhibition reminds us of the outstanding players who took to the ice and amazed the entire planet, so I would like to express my gratitude to the artist for his fantastic work. The Ice Hockey Museum requires more of such exhibitions. I hope young people will look at these paintings and will consequently be inspired by our victories.
Vitaly Shcherbak, artist:
- I would like to thank the Russian Ice Hockey Federation for its help, the exhibition couldn't have been set up without it. Russian ice hockey's 75th anniversary is a great celebration, and we must remember the legends who achieved unforgettable victories for the nation. I really wanted to please our legends with my work, to show them that the country remembers their achievements. Furthermore, I have creative plans to release a comic series and cartoon about the 1972 Super Series in the year of its 50th anniversary.
