Reaction after Russia U18 won in Minsk

Interviews were taken after our under 17 national team defeated Belarus U18 on the road on Friday afternoon.

Russia U17 head coach Alexander Tomilov:

"As a consequence of the mistakes which we committed, we ended up conceded twice. Nonetheless, our guys displayed their character and subsequently scored the decisive marker. We'll now have a rest and prepare for tomorrow with renewed energy. In terms of the positives, I liked how we attacked and put clever combination plays together."

Russia U17 forward Mikhail Chirkov:

"Despite the fact that we won, I don't think that we played that well. Yes, it's nice that we emerged victorious, but we have a lot to work on and improve. We lost a bit of concentration when 3:1 up. My winning goal? I simply had to hit the target after my teammates had set me up with an intelligent passing play. In our upcoming matches, we need to improve our defensive play and avoid losing focus."
