2018 World Challenge Cup. Russia - USA - 0:2

In the final of the 2018 World Challenge Cup, the under 18 Russian national team fell 0:2 to the USA and finished in second place of the tournament.

Previously, Russia U18 had been undefeated at the competition and even defeated the USA 4:3 in the group stage, but the Americans gained revenge in a tight, tense final.

The USA opened the scoring after just three minutes, and after the rest of proceedings went scoreless, they hit the empty net with 47 seconds remaining to claim the gold medals.

Russia U18 travel home with a well earned silver.
