February is a time for international and youth competitions!

The festive period is over, which means it's time for international ice hockey to return!
The Future Cup will begin in Belarus on 5 February. Our U17 and U18 national teams will travel to Minsk, where they will face the U18 and U20 Belarusian sides. Taking into account the high level of ice hockey in Belarus, it promises to be an exciting, goal-filled tournament, just like the Channel One Cup was in Saint Petersburg in December. Furthermore, Alexander Bogdanovich, the Chairman of the Belarusian Ice Hockey Federation, has spoken about how his organisation's productive cooperation with Russia is greatly helping Belarus to improve and produce more players of elite level.
The competition will be shown on the Match-Igra television channel in Russia.
Later on in mid-February, the centre of attention will turn to Chelyabinsk Region. The Generation Cup will initially take place between teams representing the National Junior Hockey League and the Student Hockey League in Magnitogorsk on 15 February, before the Women's Hockey League All-Star Game will subsequently be staged a day later in Chelyabinsk. The event will be extra special this year with Russian women's ice hockey celebrating its 30th anniversary!
