The RIHF offers its condolences

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation mours the death of 16 year old Metallurg Novokuznetsk prospect Alexander Orekhov. On the 14th of January during a youth league game between his team and HC Sibir Novosibirsk, Alexander received a serious injury after the puck struck his neck. Doctors in a Novosibirsk hospital enduced Alexander into a coma, fought for his life for two weeks, but couldn't save him.

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation extends its deepest condolences to Alexander's family and friends, and will offer material help to his family.
