12.08.2021
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) has begun implementing a training program for ice hockey coaches and specialists. The program involves 10 ice hockey schools and academies, in which the introduction of methodological developments and technologies of the Red Machine National Development Program has started this season. Over the next four weeks, more than 50 coaches will be trained, as well as managers and administrative personnel of ice hockey organisations.
The purpose of the program is to improve the knowledge of coaches, inform them about methodological innovations and receive feedback. Training coaches to work with the main tools of the Red Machine National Development Program is an obligatory stage which consequently ensures both a positive effect of implementation and improvement of the key competencies of specialists. To achieve results, it is important that each trainer correctly understands the goals of implementation, is guided in his work by the basic principles and philosophy of the Red Machine National Development Program and can implement his ideas and effectively use the proposed tools in practice.
The theoretical part of the program is designed for three weeks of intensive work. Coaches will participate in seminars, independently prepare individual projects, analyse video materials, learn information and communication technologies to manage various processes of coaching young ice hockey players.
The practical part of the program involves conducting practical exercises both on and off the ice with RIHF specialists. Furthermore, employees of the Red Machine National Development Program's implementation department will conduct master classes and control events in conjunction with ice hockey school coaches.
