Euro-Asian Friendship Cup in Minsk

The decisive matches of the Euro-Asia Friendship Cup will be staged at the Chizhovka Arena in Minsk, Belarus.
In accordance with the regulations of the competition, which is held under the auspices of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation, the Belarusian Ice Hockey Association and the All-Russian Hockey League, the champions of the two countries - the winners of the VHL (Torpedo-Gorky Nizhny Novgorod) and the Extraleague (Yunost-Minsk) - received direct berths to the final round of matches. Vitebsk and Khimik Voskresensk progressed through qualifying rounds.
Today, Torpedo-Gorky will face Khimik (14:30) and Yunost-Minsk will take on Vitebsk (19:30) in the semi-finals, before the medal games subsequently take place tomorrow at 13:30 and 18:00 respectively. Please note that all start times are indeed local.
This is the fourth edition of the tournament, with the trophy having always been won by Russian teams in all preceding three editions of the competition.
