RIHF trophies are on show at the "Unique Russia" exhibition

On January 28, at the Gostiny Dvor Exhibition Centre in Moscow, the "Unique Russia" exhibition was opened. It has been organised with the support of the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The main goal of the exhibition, which will last until February 14, is to show the great achievements and unique cultural features of our country.
The Russian Ice Hockey Federation presented the Russian championship trophy and the main cup of the Supreme Hockey League (VHL) for the exhibition. Both trophies were made by Vladimir Maisel from silver, gilding and wood.
Since 1996, the Russian championship trophy has been awarded to the team which wins the domestic league. Teams such as SKA Saint Petersburg, Metallurg Magnitogorsk, Salavat Yulaev Ufa, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and CSKA Moscow have hoisted the trophy aloft over the years.
The Vladimir Petrov Cup (the main VHL trophy) is named in honour of the two-time Olympic champion and nine-time world champion. Khimik Voskresensk, Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, Rubin Tyumen, Toros Neftekamsk, Neftyanik Almetevsk, Dynamo Moscow Region and Dynamo Saint Petersburg have all won the trophy.
