Vladislav Tretiak opened an international student competition in Vladivostok

President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) Vladislav Tretiak made the trip to Vladivostok as a part of his Far Eastern tour.

The international 2025 Asia Student Hockey Challenge has indeed started in Vladivostok, a competition which was organised by the Student Hockey League and the Far Eastern Federal University with the support of the RIHF and Primorsky Krai. Two Russian student teams and two Chinese sides representing the Heilongjang and Weimar universities are participating in the tournament at the Fetisov Arena, the home of KHL club Admiral.

Tretiak was a VIP guest of the tournament and held the opening face-off draw. Furthermore, he also took part in a table discussion dedicated to the development of student and youth ice hockey. The RIHF President gave his recommendations on expanding international cooperation and improving the quality of training involving players across different age groups.
