Hockey Marathon in honour of Russian ice hockey's 75th anniversary

December 22 is considered the birthday of Russian ice hockey. On this day in 1946, the maiden USSR ice hockey championship began.
On Wednesday, a Hockey Marathon will take place across Russia, covering all 11 time zones from Kamchatka to Kaliningrad Region. Matches will be held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vladivostok, Chita, Angarsk, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Ufa, Saratov, Saint Petersburg and Kaliningrad.
