In the first of three planned friendly matches between the two nations, the under 16 Russian national team proved too strong for the Czech Republic on the road, claiming a 2:0 victory.
Ivan Miroshnichenko scored the two goals. His second was after the hosts had pulled their goaltender in the concluding minute of play.
The second game will take place at 19:00 Moscow time on December 21.
