June 3rd marks the 59th anniversary of Alexander Bodunov's birthday.
During his career, Alexander won the 1973 and 1974 World Championship, the 1972 Winter Universiade, the 1974 USSR championship and the 1974 USSR Cup. He registered seven goals in 16 World/European Championship games.
Overall, the former Soviet forward participated in 347 USSR championship matches, scoring 206 goals. He played for CSKA Moscow, SKA MVO, Krylya Sovetov Moscow and Spartak Moscow.
