Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping visited a youth ice hockey match

In Tianjin, Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping attended a youth ice hockey match in connection with a state visit.

Russia were represented by the Demon team made up of players born in 2005. The club is from Tuymazy, a city located in the Republic of Bashkortostan.

Before the game began, the leaders took to the ice, spoke to the players, participated in a faceoff draw and received special jerseys from the teams competing in the match.

HC Demon's visit to China is a part of the cooperation agreement between Russia and China in the field of developing youth ice hockey. For its part, the Russian Ice Hockey Federation is offering support to China in the development of the sport. Exchanges of experiences, seminars and children's tournaments will be organised in connection with the deal.
