In a scheduled friendly match between the two sides in Novogorsk, the senior Russian women's national team defeated Russia W18 by an emphatic score of 9:1.

Our junior women's national team did initially take the lead through Anna Mochalova in the seventh minute of play.

Nevertheless, that goal merely sparked their elder opponents into action.

Elizaveta Dubey and Liana Ganeeva gave our main national team the advantage in the opening stanza, before subsequent markers from Oksana Bratishcheva, Alexandra Nesterova, Alexandra Kozyr and Ekaterina Chegosheva - alongside an impressive hat-trick from Valeria Ivanova - secured the routine win.
