Red Machine training event for children at Artek
The "Red Machine – Learn, Act, Achieve!" training program is continuing at the Artek International Children's Centre.
This latest training session, organisd by specialists from the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF), was entirely dedicated to developing key hockey skills such as agility, balance, coordination and reaction time.
The children immersed themselves in the world of specialisd acrobatic training, an essential part of modern sports training. Under the careful guidance of their instructors, the participants practiced balance elements, somersaults, jumps with turns and safe falls followed by quick recovery. These exercises not only improve overall body control but also directly impact stability on skates, body control in martial arts and rapid recovery from loss of balance.
The second part of the training was conducted in the format of games and relay races, which transformed serious work into an exciting competition. The teams competed in high-speed passing, exercises involving reaction to light and sound signals and coordinated relay passes. Particularly exciting was the paired game of capturing a token using a keyword, where not only speed but also the ability to quickly analyse incoming external information proved decisive.
These activities are excellent for developing not only physical fitness, but also team spirit. The players supported each other, celebrated their teammates' successes and collaborated on tactical solutions for victory in the relays.
