RIHF representatives participated in a match in honour of veterans

Igor Tuzik, Chief Consultant of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's National Teams' Management, attended a match in honour of ice hockey players who participated in the Great Patriotic War, other armed conflicts and combat veterans.
The game took place at the Eteri Tutberidze Figure Skating Centre with the "The Immortal Team – Forever Alive" title. Along with legendary Soviet national team forward Alexander Yakushev, Tuzik spoke at the opening ceremony. President of the Amateur Hockey Association (AHA) Alina Borodaeva gave a speech and held a symbolic faceoff draw with veterans.
This gala match marked the opening of the Colonel-General B.P. Utkin Great Patriotic War Veterans' Cup. Participants included a team representing the AHA and the Staraya Ploshad team (the Presidential Administration of Russia). The AHA side included Olympic bronze medalist Andrei Nikolishin, two-time Gagarin Cup winner Sergei Konkov and seven-time world champion Evgeni Ivanushkin. Ten-time world champion Sergei Lomanov Jr. flew in from Krasnoyarsk especially for the game.
The game ended with a 6-5 victory for the AHA.
