One goal was enough for Russia 25 to defeat Kazakhstan on the road, as our team earned a slender 1:0 win in the opening match of the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour.

SKA Saint Petersburg forward Vasily Glotov was the hero, as his effort through traffic on the powerplay beat home goaltender Andrei Shutov and sent the visitors on their way to a hard-fought victory.

Club teammate Artemiy Pleshkov stopped all 19 shots he faced in our net.

Russia 25 will return to tournament action on Saturday against Belarus in Astana.
