Eight Russian referees will work at the 2022 Olympic Games

On February 3, the women's ice hockey tournament of the 2022 Olympic Games began. In the Canada-Switzerland match, one of the main referees was Russian Daria Yermak. In total, eight Russian referees have been selected to work in Beijing by the IIHF: in the men's competition, our country will be represented by head referees Roman Gofman and Evgeny Romasko, as well as linesmen Gleb Lazarev, Nikita Shalagin and Dmitry Shishlo, in the women's competition, in addition to Yermak, head referee Daria Abrosimova and lineswoman Diana Mokhova have been picked.

Never before had eight Russian officials been chosen to work at the Olympics. Mikhail Karpushin, Head of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation's Refereeing Department and Chairman of the All-Russian Collegium of Referees, spoke about how this was achieved.
