2021 Channel One Cup. Russia - Czech Republic. A statistical look

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation takes a look at the statistics to emerge from the senior national team's 5:2 victory against the Czech Republic in the third match of the 2021 Channel One Cup in Moscow:
- By scoring after just 14 seconds of play, 20-year-old forward Arseniy Gritsyuk tallied Russia's quickest ever goal in Euro Hockey Tour history;
- Fellow forward Vadim Shipachyov made his 25th Channel One Cup appearance, more than any other Russian player in the history of the competition. In those matches, he has picked up 21 (6+15) points. Overall, if we look at the Euro Hockey Tour as a whole, Vadim has tallied 41 (12+29) points in the tournament;
- Defenseman Alexei Marchenko has gained seven (1+6) points in 40 games for the senior Russian national team;
- Forward Nikita Gusev has recorded 28 (7+21) points in 30 Euro Hockey Tour matches;
- In his second game for the senior Russian national team, goalkeeper Timur Bilyalov achieved his maiden victory. By replacing Bilyalov for the third period, fellow goaltender Alexander Samonov participated in his 20th match for the senior national team. In those games, he has registered nine regulation victories, three wins in penalty shootouts and two shutouts;
- Forwards Gritsyuk and Daniil Vovchenko scored their first goals for the senior Russian national team;
- Mikhail Grigorenko has tallied 25 goals for the senior national team. It has taken him 54 games to achieve this.
