2020 Channel One Cup. Sweden - Russia. A statistical look

The Russian Ice Hockey Federation takes a look at the statistics to emerge from the senior national team's 4:3 penalty shootout triumph over Sweden at the 2020 Channel One Cup in Moscow:

- Forward Nikita Soshnikov scored Russia's 400th goal against Sweden. It has taken our team 147 matches to achieve this;

- Defenseman Alexei Marchenko made his 30th appearance for the senior national team. So far, he holds five (1+4) points for Russia;

- In 15 Euro Hockey Tour games, forward Andrei Kuzmenko has tallied eight goals in regulation time and one winning penalty shot in a shootout;

- Dmitry Yudin (defenseman), Dmitry Voronkov (forward) and Andrei Chibisov (forward) all made their debuts for the senior national team. Andrei dished out an assist for Vadim Shipachyov's powerplay goal in the third period;

- Forward Vadim Shipachyov now boasts 105 (30+75) points for the Russian national team, overtaking Alexander Ovechkin who has earned 104 points for his country. Vadim shares fourth place of the all-time ranking with Danis Zaripov;

- Fellow forward Ivan Morozov dished out his first two assists for the senior national team in his third match for the side;

- Alexander Samonov became the 17th goalkeeper who won a penalty shootout for the senior national team, while Andrei Kuzmenko earned the title of the 28th Russian player to score a winning penalty shot.
