In the semi-finals of the 2019 IIHF World Championship, the under 18 Russian national team defeated the USA 3:2 in a dramatic penalty shootout!

Rodion Amirov, who had initially scored the first Russian goal in the match, netted the winning shootout marker. Yegor Chistyakov had struck gold in the third period to take the match to overtime.

Russia will now play host nation Sweden in Sunday's final.
