The Russian Olympic team claimed the 2018 Luzern Cup, defeating Switzerland 5:1 on the road!

It promised to be a tricky game against the 2018 IIHF World Championship finalists, but Russia rose to the challenge, scoring five goals to thrash the hosts of the 2018 Luzern Cup. Denis Alexeev's opener was cancelled out by the Swiss, but Artyom Zub, Vladimir Tkachyov, Alexei Kruchinin and Oleg Li subsequently scored to make it 5:1 in Russia's favour! HC Lokomotiv Yaroslavl goalkeeper Ilya Konovalov was between the pipes.

With this victory, the Russian Olympic team tasted glory in the competition with two wins in two matches.
