Russia's players speak after defeating Sweden
Evgeny Kuznetsov, forward:
- The team understood that we had to beat Sweden. This was a great test before the knockout stages. Overall, I think that we controlled the game, even after we conceded in the third period. Hopefully our powerplay will improve, and we will speak about this at training. Today we were better on special teams, but couldn't score.
Alexei Emelin, defenseman:
- This was a very important game, and we needed to play well in both attack and defence. Sweden had to come at us after conceding four goals, and they crashed our net. We tried to play tight in defence, but we couldn't always do it.
Sergei Bobrovsky, goaltender:
- The guys played really organised at the back, and they did a great job of letting me see the puck on the crease. The atmosphere is amazing, it's something that will stay with me forever. Nevertheless, the most interesting games are coming up.
