Krasnoyarsk will host the 2026 "Russia: Country of Sports" forum

This year's "Russia: Country of Sports" forum will be hosted by Krasnoyarsk between the 21st and 23rd of October.

"Today, Russian athletes are returning to international competitions under the national flag," noted Anton Kobyakov, the Advisor to the President of the Russian Federation and the Executive Secretary of the Organising Committee of the Forum. "Our athletes competed with distinction at the Paralympic Winter Games in Italy, continue to win key awards in numerous sporting disciplines, and the principle of sport being separate from politics is once again becoming a reality. All of this is the result of the meticulous and systematic work of representatives at all levels of the government, leaders of the sporting community and those involved in business.

"Events such as this annual forum directly pressing issues which are aimed at achieving Russia's national goals and further developing the sporting sector. I'm confident that this year's event will once again confirm its status as a prestigious platform and enable us to achieve new goals both at the national and international level."

The "Russia: Country of Sports" forum is held in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation.
