Vladislav Tretiak laid flowers next to a memorial dedicated to the Great Patriotic War

Vladislav Tretiak's tour of the Far East is continuing.

The President of the Russian Ice Hockey Federation (RIHF) began his second day in Amur Region with events dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day. Together with the region's governor Vasily Orlov, he visited the Far Eastern Higher Combined Arms Command School named after Konstantin Rokossovsky, where he took part in a ceremonial ceremony of laying flowers at the monument to the Marshall of the Soviet Union. Tretiak also spoke with the school's management, officers and cadets.



RIHF President Vladislav Tretiak:

"Today's celebration is special, because our President Vladimir Putin declared 2025 the year of the Defender of the Fatherland. This day symbolises the feelings which our country should remember all year long. This is sincere respect for real men who are on duty these days, defending the interests of our Motherland. And the memory of the heroes of past centuries and decades, especially those who fought during the Great Patriotic War.

"New generations of residents of our country must honour the glory of their ancestors, learn from them patriotism, courage, loyalty to duty and readiness to defend the peaceful life and security of our great nation. I wish all defenders of the Fatherland happiness, health, good luck, and victory to all of us."
