Interviews after Russia U18 defeated Belarus U17

07.02.2025
Interviews were taken following Russia U18's resounding 7:3 victory against the under 17 Belarusian national team at the Future Cup.
Russia U18 head coach Dmitry Mikhailov:
"The score doesn't reflect the game itself. The opponents are a strong side, they're built well physically and pressed us across the ice. Furthermore, we spent a lot of time competing shorthanded, meaning that our players on the PK and our goalkeeper had to put in plenty of work. Overall, this was a good match and lesson for us."
Russia U18 forward Arseniy Ilyin:
"The main thing is that we won. All of us understand each other well, we didn't need a lot of time to get used to playing together. Do I feel tense at this competition? No, not at all. We will try and win the next match in order to finish in first place of the standings. This tournament serves as a great opportunity to participate in international games, we're defending the honour of our country!"
