Reaction after Russia 25 defeated Belarus in Kazakhstan
04.05.2024
Interviews were taken after Russia 25 defeated Belarus 6:0 in the second match of the Liga Stavok Big National Team Tour.
Russia 25 head coach Roman Rotenberg:
- We can't underestimate the importance of Artemiy Pleshkov earning shutouts in both of his maiden games for the Russian national team! He's been fantastic for us. We had prepared seriously for this match, we wanted to immediately compete at an intense tempo and create lots of goalscoring opportunities. The opponents couldn't keep up with our quick play. Furthermore, I'm happy that we managed to score shorthanded, we always like to create chances on the counter when we're killing penalties. I liked our overall performance and we will now prepare for the next stage of this series.
Russia 25 forward Artur Tyanulin:
- Despite the positive result, there are aspects of our game which require improvement. My goal? I hit the target after my teammates had picked me out with an excellent move. It's wonderful to represent our country, and I hope that we're making our supporters happy with our results. We'll get ready for our upcoming matches.
Russia 25 forward Vitaly Abramov:
- To be honest it does feel strange to be playing ice hockey in May, previously I had never played for the national team at this time of year. It's a huge honour for me to represent Russia, so I'm enjoying every moment out there. I'm looking forward to when we play in front of our fans next week!
