The open air ice rink at the Legends Park will soon be available for the public!

On the 7th of December, the open air ice rink at the Legends Park in Moscow will open. Ice hockey matches, public skating sessions and master-classes from top players will all take place there.

 

First Russian Ice Hockey Federation vice-president Roman Rotenberg:

 

- During the whole winter season, this centre will be open for ice hockey lovers of all ages. It's a great chance for the whole family to spend time together in the outdoors, to play ice hockey or to watch a match. The facilities are all there. In this anniversary year, it's important to keep our ice hockey traditions intact. I am confident, that our project with the Legends Park will be a successful one.

 

In line with the 70th anniversary celebrations, a gala match between Russia Hockey 1946 and Russia Hockey 2016 will take place on the 7th of December at 19:30. Famous players such as Alexei Yashin, Alexei Morozov, Andrei Kovalenko and Sergei Gimaev will all compete. Tickets for the game will be free of charge, you can pick up your tickets at the VTB Ice Palace's ticket offices.

 

A day afterwards, on the 8th of December, the Red Machine exhibition inside the Ice Hockey Museum, located next to the open air rink, will open its doors. You can find fascinating information all about the country's proud ice hockey traditions.

17:30 - guests meet

 

18:00 - presentation with the Russian Ice Hockey Federation and Legends Park organisation

 

18:30 - look at the Red Machine museum exhibition

 

19:30 - gala match begins

 

In the future, a Students Hockey League All-Star Game will take place, there will be a friendly between Moscow Region and Moscow teams, and Alexei Morozov and Alexei Yashin will put on master-classes.
