In the opening match of the Cup of the Future, the under 18 and 17 Russian national teams faced each other, with the latter earning an entertaining 4:2 victory.

Yegor Graf, Andrei Krutov, Arseniy Vorobyov and Alexei Dontsov hit the jackpot for the winners, with solid goaltender Mikhail Korotkov stopping 28 of the 30 shots he faced.

Tomorrow, Russia U18 will face Kazakhstan at 15:30 Moscow time, before Russia U17 subsequently compete against Belarus U20 at 19:30.
